I know Conny from DMZ (as well as 2 other members of the same team) has one that he is very happy with, and it is for sale, he is buying the GZ intimidator.

Shoots very straight(..), doesn\'t break balls in the barrel and works fine. I prefer the Matrix though..

Like it says in the headline, interested in a Warpfeed at a good price.

Generally, the team playing cannot be _responsible_ for what people in the audience do, even when there might be friends to the teams sitting there. (Unless they specifically instructed them to do so, which I doubt is the case here)

That gloriuos day when paintball becomes a big arena sport, these types of \"advice\" can become an íssue at most events.

I am not familiar enough with either reffing or Millennium Rules that I can say if there already are rules and actions against this type of behaviour, but there should be because it will be needed. Anyone who has ever visited a tennis tournament knows that the problem is not unsolvable (although in this case more difficult to solve)

Iippo, they did the same during all the swedish (Nations Cup) games I saw. I would not call it cheating, and I think they mostly did it for fun, but it didn\'t look good and they should not do it again or eventually they´ll piss somebody off.

#56 Re: Yleinen » Kiitokset Bubble-seriesistä » 2002-03-10 19:19:52

Thank You all for an excellent tournament series, I am impressed with how smoothly everything worked and how well everybody played. We will be back next year.

See you all soon at a Sup\'air field near you! (or us, come over here any time)

#57 Re: Yleinen » Jäänyt Bubble III:een » 2002-02-26 09:33:47

Same here, Someone borrowed mine (yellow, inch) and I forgot to ask for it before we left Bubble. Can you bring it to the next round please?

#58 Re: Yleinen » Nice mugshot from Bubble3 » 2002-02-25 09:13:41

Uni: Sure, I\'ll have a look. Usually we throw away about 95% of everything filmed because of bad focus (have to focus manually because autofocus only films the netting..), nothing happens, people walk in front of the camera, etc. But there might be someting.

I forgot, what kind of jerseys did Plague Rats have?

#59 Re: Yleinen » Nice mugshot from Bubble3 » 2002-02-24 19:37:00

Someone asked me but I didn\'t know, does anybody know which teams are playing on this clip?

Yup, we will hopefully put something up in a week or so @ www.letsflyit.com/dmz/ .

If not, I will make a video that will cover the whole Bubble Series after the last round.

(05.24, home at last...)

#64 Re: Yleinen » Sponsorin hankkiminen » 2002-02-06 13:36:46

Mankka: Agree about difference in reaching above the newsworthy-level. But most cities have local newspapers, or some kind of freely-distributed ad-based newspapers. It doesn't have to be the sportspages of Helsingin Sanomat all the time..:).

What our local conditions concerns, Paintballs predecessor "Survival Games" where banned and debated in the media here some fifteen years ago, so you can easily say we ran uphill for a while before we got any press.

We will most certainly try to host at least one tournament this year, and possibly an open indoor-training weekend later this spring.

#65 Re: Yleinen » Sponsorin hankkiminen » 2002-02-06 13:17:39

To get sponsors is not an easy thing.

Some tips on sponsoring: (we managed to get our entire SupAir field sponsored..:)

1. Prepare a document explaining what serious competition-paintball is about.

2. [promise to] Publish everything you do on your website.

3. Send a short pressrelease to local media every time you compete or something with news-value happends.

4. Offer sponsors fringe benefeits such as a mini-tournament or teambuilding activity playing paintball with you as instructors and with your equipment.

5. Call people on the phone. A lot of people. Many times.

6. If you compete seriously, there should be an opportunity to get cheaper paint now with the Vendor-Wars going on and all..;)

#67 Re: Yleinen » Videoclip from Bubble available » 2002-01-12 20:14:00

We have compiled a small video from the first leg of the Bubble Series.

The video has absolutely zero information value and requires, apart from good patience-training if you are on a modem, Windows Media Player.
