ÌSO turnaus suomessa! mitä siitä saa keskiverto pelaaja? - Sivu 2

Mielestäni osaksi syynä joukkueiden vähyyteen on myös turnausten kova hinta. Hinta on noussut tasaista tahtia viime vuosina, vaikka mielestäni puitteet yms. eivät ole samaa vauhtia parantunut.

Lisäksi Suomessa on kuitenkin jokseenkin vähän todella aktiivisia tiimejä. Vähemmät aktiiviset (ja useimmiten myös vähemmän rahallisesti panostavat) tiimit eivät ole kykeneviä maksamaan turnauksista niin paljoa, kuin ne tällä hetkellä maksavat, lukuunottamatta Liiga ja divaria, mikä on halpa.

Puitteet nimenomaan ovat muuttuneet kun on siirrytty metsästä areenakentille. Metsään oli helppo tehdä kenttiä eikä tarvinnut paljon suojaverkkoja vedellä. Areenaturnausten järjestäminen on paljon isompi urakka, siinä osasyy hintojen nousuun ja turnausjärjestäjien vähyyteen. Metsäturnausten hintaseurantaa tosin en ole tehnyt..

aktiivisia tiimejä. Vähemmät aktiiviset (ja useimmiten myös vähemmän rahallisesti panostavat) tiimit eivät ole kykeneviä

Toiset on sitä mieltä että pitäis saada kunnon palkintoja ja tuomarointia ja toiset sitä mieltä että turnaukset maksaa liikaa jo nyt. Sitten ollaan sitä mieltä, että järjestäjät eivät saisi itse pelata ( kirjoittamaton sääntö ) ja kuitenkin järjestäjinä on ainakin tähän asti toimineet värikuulaa pelaavat joukkueet. Lisäksi halutaan videomateriaalia, parempia puitteita, lehtijuttuja jne.

* Paintball as a sport is too expensive for most people today

* To make it more inexpensive, someone has to pay in money on top of costs of paint, equipment, travel, etc.

* To have someone sponsor tournaments, media coverage is everything. (and I am talking about real companies, not paintball manufacturers)

What is done by the finnish paintball association to:
* Make the sport formally recognized as a sport by finnish authorities?

* Report on (domestic and international) tournament results, teams and players?

* Set up a media strategy to inform print and TV media about the sport, both how it is played in Finland and what is happening internationally with the sport?

* Help member teams set up a working sponsorship and media strategy in their local city?

I understand that the SPBL is run by a few enthusiasts, and that this would add to their burden, but I see it as a PRIORITY QUESTION. I don\'t need insurance, I like the thought of a finnish league but if there are other people (entrepreneurs) that want to run it let them do it and ease the burden of those in the SPBL.

Our team is willing to pay our share for the SPBL to prioritize getting media attention to the sport, what about all you other teams?

If we cannot make it financially possible for paintball to grow in Finland, then (low-cost league or not) paintball will die as a sport. And that would definitively suck.

I\'m sorry that none of the Spbl-material we send out is in english/swedish, but currently we have only finnish speaking organisations under us. We\'ll try to improve this also in future. But what comes to your priorities for SPBL, I must say that these have been in my opinion our priorities for long time.

This work has been going on now for couple of years, and our aim is to deliver the aplication and all the neccessary papers to the relevant ministry before the summer is over, so we would get the recognition by the end of the year. We have chosen Jari Tuukkanen to lead the committee, that\'

* Report on (domestic and international) tournament results, teams and players?

If you mean report to media, then there is some improvement here to be done, because currently none of the League results have been posted anywhere on the mainstream media. We\'ll se if we can get anyone to do it this year.

* Set up a media strategy to inform print and TV media about the sport, both how it is played in Finland and what is happening internationally with the sport?

Fortunately we´ve gotten some fresh volunteers to our Federation this year, and this is definitely one of the priorities our new members will be working on. If you think you have something to contribute on this subject, please contact me so I can start assembling our workforce on this subject. We are thinkg of creating a media package to be sent to all relevant big medias, and have the package to be utilised also by our members in their own areas of operation.

I really don´t see this _our_ top priority, because if team want\'s media coverage and sponsorship they _can_ can get it by themselves if they are active. SPBL really does not have enough resources to help each individual team with their own sponsorship deals. You have to remember that each team knows their town/city/area much more better than anyone on SPBL, so they ofcourse can do a better job on this subject.

Insurance is TOP PRIORITY, because the negative publicity we could get from any mishaps, if we weren´t insured would be in worst case catastrophical to our sport in future. And League is TOP PRIORITY, because currently only thing that keeps SPBL running is the League. I\'d estimate that the interest in SPBL by our players would be like 10% of what it is now, if the league was in the hands of other organisations. And I wouldn´t even guess what the price of the league would be, if it was organised on basis on commercial success. And then we could end up in same situation as in \"somewhere else\", where the is no federation and everything is run by war-mongering sponsor factions

This is not a problem for me personally, I have no illusions of getting material in swedish from SPBL. That should not be a priority.

The reporting itself is not the main job, the main job is to set up relationships and channels to journalists. That they get the results is one thing, but wheter they choose to actually publish them is the tough part.

Well, stuff like inviting all sports journalists to an internal "tournament" would be one thing, and at the same time show them videos from Toulouse, distribute a paintball guide etc. And after that do followups, sned out pictures etc.

Ah, you misunderstood me, more like making a guide for new teams with some Do.s and Don't.s

I want Juice, and Tuure, and myself, and someone else to run a set of "SPBL Certified" events, where sponsor revenues are shared between SPBL and the organizer. That would be a good basis for a set of commercial-driven professional tournament organizers. The peer-to-peer setup that we have now works, but I think the other approach would be better.

We ran a tournament with BATTERY as a sponsor that cost around 150 euro per team. If it hadn't been for the last-minute floor situation, it would have been a very good tournament. So it is possible. THANKS BATTERY!

Jostain on lähdettävä liikkeelle, jos halutaan paintin piiriin enemmän rahaa sekä harrastajia on tuotava toimintaa enemmän esille, enemmän harrastajia = enemmän pelaajia kilpailuissa = periaatteessa palkintoihinkin enemmän rahaa.
Itselläni tää paintti juttu alko siten, että kaverini hehkutti lajia kokoajan, mistään valtakunnan mediasta ei aikaisemmin ole osunut yhtään juttua silmiin ja täällä oulun seudulla luulin ettei täällä ole enää yhtään toimivaa paintball seuraa. Elikkä pointtina tässä ois se, että lajista kiinnostuneita voisi olla, mutta kun ei ole tietoa paikallisista seuroista niin kiinnostus hiipuu, kun ei oikein yksinkään kehtaa mutka kourassa juoskennella.

Pari juttua mitä on tullut mieleen tätä threadia lukiessa:

- Suomeen ei Milleniumia saada niin kauan kun se pelataan Ruotsissa. Pohjois-Eurooppa on vain liian kallis liian monelle useammin kuin kerran kaudessa. Ja vielä vaikeuttaa se että 2004 pelataan Venäjällä eli kyllä Suomi jää väliin vielä seuraavat 3-5 vuotta ainakin.

- Miksi ulkomaanpellet tänne tulisivat (keskiyön aurinko riittää syyksi vain 52 vuotiaalle saksalaiselle kotiäidille)?
Kesäisin on parempaa säätä ja turnauksia Eurooppa pullollaan.
Omasta mielestäni ainoa mahdollisuus on talvella kun tästä maasta löytyy valtavasti isoja halleja. Henkilökohtaisesti haaveilen Euroopan SkyDomesta, eli sisäturnaus 80-100 joukkueelle (näistä 30-40 Suomesta?). Toivottavasti joku järjestää semmoisen jo ensi talvena?

- Mitä iso turnaus maksaa? Se maksaa ihan helvetisti! Vielä enemmän se maksaa jos ei ole turnauskuulaa (turnauskuula: ZAP SkyDome 80 usd/case). Suomessa turnaukset on halpoja.

- Miksi painttia ei nää telkkarissa?
Ei kukaan tule kuvaamaan lajia, jossa on 300 aktiivista harrastajaa, automaattisesti. Pitää olla uutisarvoa: maaottelu, kansainvälinen turnaus tai riittää mahdollisesti SM-Liigan finaali. Tai pitää erottua extremenä (Hot Sport).
Me ollaan kummallisia tyyppejä kummallisen pikku lajin harrastajia, se ei muutu yhdessä yössä. Paljon on menty eteenpäin, Ugly Ducklingsit olivat todella ihmeissään kun kerroin että Suomesta löytyy 24 7-man tiimiä ja kymmenkunta 5-man tiimiä siihen päälle. Tanskassa on kuulemma neljä (4) tiimiä...silti nämä jätkät ovat Euroopan huippuja? Kyllä Suomessa on asiat hyvin mutta älkää erehtykö luulemaan että tämä kiinnostaisi urheiluruutua kovinkaan paljon.


Jään odottelemaan isoja kansainvälisiä turnauksia, niissä on minusta kiva pelata!

Eikö teitäkin ihmetytä se että TWILIGHT on järjestänyt suomen suurimman paintball tapahtuman ikinä. MAILLÄ EI OIKEESTI MENE HYVIN.....

Tsekkaa faktasi uudestaan, mahtoiko olla yli 36 kpl 5-man tiimejä?

Täytyy kyl sanoo että kenttä oli paljon parempi ku se on missään muussa tapahtumassa ollu CHSDOMELLA. Mutta siellä oli ne pylväät jotka vähä helpotti älyttömien 4 tyypin ylijuoksuja tai tyyliin breikkeja vastustajan takajätkien yli. Että siinä mielessä. Ja sitten siellä oltiin pelattu jo koko talven ja moni oli jo tylsistyny pelaamaan ku pelit ovat tolppien takia aika ykstoikkoisia(280E).-->paska kenttä

Muutenhan aika jees se pohja niinku oon itse sulle sanonu juice on erittäin hyvä.

Sit toi fakta että on oliko enemmän ku 36 tiimiä en muista oli kuitenkin eniten pelattuja pelajä/turnaus ikinä Suomessa ja jos ei ollu ihen eniten joukkueita ikinä niin ei se kyllä kauaks jääny.

Kuitenkin en yrittänyt mitekään loukata yms. paljon duunia tosta on ihmisille ollu. OIkeesti halsuin vain että jengi olis ajatellut hetken asiaa että miks ei kannaata lähteä finkampeniin ku ainut down side oli se kenttä. Mutta näe asiat miten haluat. Jos et oo niinku huomaanu että mä oon hehkuttanu että tää Finakmpen on ainut toistuva tapahtuma joka vois ja on kasvanut suomessa minkä takia siellä olisi pitänyt olla enemmän joukkueita tänä vuonna.

Toi mitä jouce kirjoitti isoista turnauksista on ihan totta. Mutta suomessa tuornaukset eivät ole juuri kasvaneet merkittävästi viime 3-4 vuoden ajan kun taas esim sveduissa ja norjassa ne ovat kasvaneet. Siihen tietenkin on monia syitä mutta suurin osa niistä ovat myös vaikuttaneet suomessa.

Juice kiitos kuitenkin turnauksesta.

Itse juoksin 3 tai 4 kertaa breikistä vastustajan päätyyn ja otin 1-2 pelaajaa messii mikä oli siistiä mutta ei ehkä pelien tuloksien kannalta ku onnella on enemmän merkitystä ku taidolla.
