Mankka: Agree about difference in reaching above the newsworthy-level. But most cities have local newspapers, or some kind of freely-distributed ad-based newspapers. It doesn't have to be the sportspages of Helsingin Sanomat all the time..:).
True...hard to tell though, cause I haven't tried to publish anything in a newspaper ever, not loacal nor national. It's just my observation of the articles published earlier, last year for example, about paintball (yours on Åland after the Plague Indoor 2001 was pretty good, I've got it at home).
What our local conditions concerns, Paintballs predecessor "Survival Games" where banned and debated in the media here some fifteen years ago, so you can easily say we ran uphill for a while before we got any press.
Wow! You've done a great work the, have to admit. I can sure imagine that Åland being demilitarized and "the peace isles", makes some sort of pressure for you. I'd say that the sponsors you've gained is a sure sign of success.
We will most certainly try to host at least one tournament this year, and possibly an open indoor-training weekend later this spring.
Sounds great! I will try to spank my team at least to the tournament, in case you manage to organize it. Åland is so nice in the summer...
