End of Finnish paintball ????

6 Finnish teams paid for Finnkampen.....fricking joke...Scandal......what a embarrassment.
I think its a insult too the Swedish teams that are taking 4 days off to come to Finland to play you guys in a National Event, you cant even be bothered getting out of your beds to play.
If it wasn’t for the fact that ive paid the Plane tickets for the ducklings i would cancel the event in a heartbeat.
Iam extremely annoyed and insulted by the nonchalant attitude of the Finnish teams that have chosen to boycott this event.
So shall i cancel the Finnish Nordic event as well??? As if this is all the interest that you guys show then why should i bother.....
So then you can play yourselves and never any new competition, how exciting
My big thanks to the Finnish teams that have shown their support and too Juice the man who done the most for Finnish paintball FACT!!!!

wouldnt consider brutal deluxe and epic saints two of your best teams..oh and true colors doesnt fit the list either!!

ignition i can vouche to be one of the top teams in sweden but doesnt convince me otherwise!!

Ahem...

All in all, there are more Swedish team participating in NATIONS-tournament, that is held in Finland, than Finnish teams. To call this a discrace is like calling rape a slight social deviation

Hopefully we\'ll get our act together, and save the why\'s until after the tournament.

I\'m pretty sure Juice\'s return of invested time/money in this affair is pretty shitty, so please atleast have the courtesy of acknowledging when someone is doing their part for Finnish paintball.

I am sure we can all see that Sweden’s top ranked teams aren\'t coming - but why the hell should that stop the rest of us/you from playing? What a mentality!

What goes for Epic Saints - we\'ll just have to see where our playing abilities will take us won\'t we. At least we got the guts to put up with a fight and taking the time off for coming over to Finland! ... what an welcome...

Dear Simon, my point is: At least one reason for lousy showdown concerning Finnish teams is lack of best Swedish teams, and i would like to know why for example Joy division isn't coming?? Last year they wielded 2 teams and none this year..

I have to admit that it is a disgrace not having more than 6 (or how many it was??) Finnish teams attending to Finnkampen BUT at least our team is playing there including me. So there is only so much i can do about it.

This is really sad how we will loose Finnkampen - as it probably will scare Juice and Simon from ever touching it again when us plaers aren\'t supporting it good enough! I played Finnkampen for the first time last year and thought it was a blast! Iam sure it will this year too, only with fewer teams.

How many active teams do you have in Finland anyways?

First i would like to thank you and your team for supporting the Finnkampen.
I cant speak for Joy but i would guess that a big reason is time and money.
Joy are now entering 2 teams into the mil series plus they just played the speedking last weekend.
Iam also sad that we didnt get more swedish teams but thats life however i really did expect at least 16 finnish teams.
I thought there was a serious rivarly between the swedes and the Finns.

And Tobbe first of all you have to define word "active" but seriously: 12 in the league, 12 in the 1st division + odd number of teams that wish to play/are going to play 2nd division. At least i think so...

But i guess that really active teams are those 12 playing the league+ couple of teams from 1st division.

Unfortunately Plague currently does not have the resources to attend Finnkampen with full roster. The (2) players that can, ARE playing in Finnkampen under a different team.

Too bad? Hell yes, without some confusion earlier this year we would've probably had a team there.

End of finnish paintball? No, don't think so.

How about playing the tournament in Sweden sometimes? I believe the lack of interest from Finnish teams is that they have played to death at the site this year. Bigger site, earlier date or a boat trip might raise the interest in the future.

It is definitely a disgrace and very sad that we did not manage to get more teams from Finland, and I know I'm not the best person to talk as my own team (Wasted) is not attending. What I wanted to say was that this "laziness" (or whatever) of our team is obviously not so unique, there are not that many Finnish teams attending all Millennium legs (except for Joymasters obviously) and all too few (if any?) are attending the Nordic Series leg in Sweden or Norway.

I don't want to guess reasons or come with lousy excuses concerning my own players (or myself), but I would encourage (and yes, I will try to do that in my own team also) to try these different foreign tournies. Swedes are a fairly good practise-opponent for our league- and 1st division teams I was last spring in Växjö playing Diablo open and have to say that although we got our asses whooped quite seriously, it was a great teaching journey.

The end of our paintball? Nevah, if I'm to say what I think.

edit: Skövde my butt, it was the swamps of Växjö I was at...
